- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder on both sides.
Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken thighs.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Optionally, remove chicken thighs and place under a broiler for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce. Serve hot with extra sauce from the slow cooker.
