Ingredients
  

Cookie Layer

  • 4 oz Semi-sweet chocolate bar
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter room temperature
  • ½ cup Brown sugar packed light or dark
  • 3 tablespoon White granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Large egg room temperature
  • ¾ cup Semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup Oreo pieces small and medium pieces
  • cup Oreo crumbs fine crumb

Brownie Layer

  • 1 ⅓ cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • ¼ cup White granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Brown sugar packed light or dark
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Large egg room temperature
  • ¾ cup Semisweet chocolate chips
  • cup Oreo pieces small and medium pieces
  • ¼ cup Oreo crumbs fine crumb

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare the Oreo chocolate chip cookie dough by melting the butter and cooling it.
  • Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
  • Combine wet ingredients: melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, and egg.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips, Oreo pieces, and Oreo crumbs.
  • Melt semi-sweet chocolate and let it cool.
  • Mix brownie dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt.
  • Prepare brownie base: cream butter with sugars, then add melted chocolate and vanilla.
  • Add egg and mix, then incorporate dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips and Oreos.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop dough quantities onto plates and combine one from each type, flatten slightly.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  • Let cool before serving.
