Cinnamon Mixture
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup ground cinnamon
Cake Batter
- ¾ cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ cup whipping cream or ⅓ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- ½ cup milk of choice
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons cream or milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease your bundt pan.
Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Combine flour and baking powder separately, then alternate adding it with whipping cream and milk to the wet mixture.
Layer half the batter in the pan, sprinkle with half the cinnamon mixture, add remaining batter, and top with remaining cinnamon mix.
Bake for 55 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack; drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and cream.
